He did his own wood stain recipes exploring the reactions of different solutions and different types of wood. Paulsen also built up a library in experiments in how various types of wood distributed color with its own capillary action creating beautiful color to wood fadings.<br/><br/> Paulsen makes all the coloring himself in his Stockholm studio. Col­ours are based on print­ing ras­ter which cre­ates a pic­ture in the pro­cess of print­ing. Metal wire con­struc­tion of the seat is a frame for cre­at­ing pat­terns. Through an indi­vidual choice of ball col­ours and pat­terns, cli­ent is given the oppor­tun­ity to par­ti­cip­ate and co-create the pro­ject. The user gets emotion­ally involved, cre­at­ing a chair of his/her ‘very own’.
